International. PPG Industries announced an agreement between the coatings trade group of its automotive finishing business and Van Nay to expand the ECK anti-corrosion product line distributed by PPG.
The multinational will now offer a full line of ECK products by adding quart versions and aerosols to the compression tubes it already offered.
"We are excited to add these products to our ECK compressible tubes," said JJ Wirth, PPG's trademark manager. "ECK is a very effective corrosion protection. By offering a full line of ECK products to PPG customers, I believe we will enhance their success with additional options to prevent corrosion."
The ECK coating prevents electrolyte reaction. By forming a long-lasting, moisture-resistant barrier between different metals, the coating surpasses traditional corrosion prevention methods, such as the use of silicone-based products and plastic insulation tape applications. ECK products can also be used to prevent excoriation and seizure of screws and fasteners. This technology is ideal for heavy-duty trucks, military vehicles, trailers, agricultural and construction machinery, and a variety of other metal applications.
