International. Bayer MaterialScience launched a new, easy-to-clean coating solution based on aqueous polyurethane dispersions. The coating can be cured with UV radiation in a matter of minutes.
In addition, the company said that thanks to the strong cross-linking of the molecules, the coatings are very durable and resistant to chemicals. Additionally, it contains low volatile organic compound.
According to Maria Almato Guiteras, head of general industrial paint application development, coatings "protect coated products and extend their service life, which helps conserve resources. In other words, coatings contribute to greater sustainability not just in one, but in several ways."
