Colombia. The multinational company Corona, through its subsidiary Electroporcelana Gamma, confirmed that it has begun negotiations to acquire the companies Materiales Industriales and Erecos S.A.
For the closing of the transaction, it only remains to comply with the information process before the competent authorities. With this acquisition, Corona manages to expand its production capacity and its mineral reserves of kaolins and clays that reinforce its operations in ceramics and paints.
As Gamma's general manager, Mauricio Yepes, told Dinero magazine, "Corona is very happy with the acquisition of these companies because they are very aligned with our business strategy and will strengthen our operations. Likewise, we are very committed to strengthening these businesses, to continue generating a positive impact on the development of the region."
