International. Specialty chemicals company Clariant has approved a 50% capacity expansion of its pigment plant located in Roha, India.
The company assures that the expansion will allow it to offer its customers in the region products specifically adapted to their needs. This recently approved investment will also improve on-site capacity and production in a sustainable manner by reducing energy consumption and expanding the range of low-VOC pigment preparations.
These latest investments are intended to support the growth of the market in India. This marks another step in Clariant's efforts to enhance its presence on the ground and offer more intimate customer service in emerging Indian and Asian markets. In addition, the company added that it is in the process of doubling its marketing and sales organization in India, China and Indonesia throughout 2013.
