Argentina. The company Plaquimet invested more than $10 million pesos (about US$1.8 billion) to build a plant for the production of paints with special high-performance resins.
The plant, which will feature new technology for production, will be based in the Almirante Brown Industrial Park. The product that will be created there and marketed is known under the name Britec.
This paint corresponds to a new generation of "gelcoats" that is implemented in the nautical, transport, wind energy and swimming pools sectors.
According to data revealed by the national news agency Telam, these products register an annual demand in the region of 18 tons.
