Germany. The European Coatings 2013 confirmed some of the topics it will handle during the conference sessions that will take place in Düsseldorf in June (11-12 and 18-19) related to packaging and sustainable coatings.
The first conference will be on coatings for packaging and will highlight the latest advances in relevant areas of chemistry, addressing the special needs of coatings in this industry. Representatives from industry and academia will be presenting their latest research results.
Some key aspects of the talk are the impact of legislation on the food coatings industry, packaging materials using functional coatings and thin films, renewable barrier coatings for paper and cardboard based packaging, polyesters for flexible packaging coatings and effect pigments for printing.
The second conference on sustainable coatings will present topics ranging from interior to exterior coatings, across the different application areas. Lecturers from industries and universities will present their latest projects.
