Colombia. Aimed at operators of equipment for surface treatment and coating applicators, the Colombian Association of Corrosion and Protection, Ascor, will hold the Coating Applicators Course in the city of Barranquilla.
The course will take place from July 30 to August 4 at the Naviera Fluvial Colombiana facilities, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (local time) and on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. To access the course, participants must have a demonstrated experience of at least one year in surface treatment activities and application of coatings for corrosion control.
The topics of the academic event address topics such as coating technology, surface preparation standards and procedures (abrasive jet, mechanical and manual techniques), coating application techniques (manual methods, spraying with airless and low pressure equipment), interpretation of technical data sheets and coating mixing process, quality control in coating application processes (EPH calibration, EPS, adhesion, film continuity, environmental conditions), handling of safety sheets, industrial safety in coating application, Failures in coating application processes and correction procedures, field practices in abrasive jet cleaning processes, field practices in coating application processes.
