Europe. Ashland Performance Materials, a business unit of Ashland Inc., announced the price increase of all unsaturated polyester resins and gelcoats for the Europe and Asia Pacific regions. The increase will be between 3 and 4% and will be effective from the first of May.The company reported that the increase is due to the substantial increase in the costs of certain raw materials, including styrene. "In response to changing market conditions, Ashland will continue to provide innovative, industry-leading products with added value for our customers," the executives said in a statement.
