U.S. Elcometer recently announced the death of Ian Sellars, owner and managing director of the company and one of the founders of the modern coating inspection industry. For almost fifty years Ian Sellars managed the family business from a small 32m2 office with seven employees to a global manufacturer and supplier of inspection equipment for the concrete and coatings industries, with over 200 employees in 6 offices and an extensive global network of over 150 distributors.
