Latin America. Sinteplast carried out an initiative in Pinamar to improve the working conditions of lifeguards during the summer, applying the Athermal Recuplast in their boxes with the aim of reducing the interior temperature. According to the company, it is "the first waterproofing agent in the national industry" and was key in the project called "In this box the heat takes vacations".
The Recuplast Atérmica is an acrylic membrane that offers reflective, waterproofing and athermic properties, allowing it to reflect more than 80% of the sun's rays and reducing the internal temperature by up to 10°C. As the company explained: "The use of this material contributes to sustainability, as it reduces the need for cooling systems, thus reducing energy consumption."
It is worth noting that cold roofs are surfaces that reflect solar radiation, reducing the heat that enters buildings and improving comfort. Its technology allows the surface temperature to be reduced by up to 10°C, which brings many benefits to both people and the environment. The reduction of the phenomenon of urban heat islands, the decrease in the use of air conditioning and, consequently, lower energy consumption and a reduction in CO2 emissions. Roofs help prevent health problems related to high temperatures, favoring the well-being of the population.
