Argentina. Holcim in Argentina was recognized in the Corporate Governance and Society category of the 25th edition of the Corporate Citizenship Award of the American Chamber of Commerce in Argentina (AmCham) for its commitment to society and its values of socio-environmental responsibility.
Based on the consolidation of the business management model oriented towards sustainability, the Corporate Citizenship Award rewards sustainable practices among more than 100 participating companies that promote the development of Argentina.
In this edition and in the "Corporate Governance Axis" category, AmCham awarded Holcim for being a clear expression of the values referring to socio-environmental variables in the institutional definitions and strategy of the company.
In the "Community" category, Holcim's case called "+Que un baño" was the winner for the company's contribution to the development of the communities where it operates.
"+Que un baño" is an initiative of Habitat for Humanity Argentina and the Holcim Foundation that seeks to improve the health situation of community centers and, with this, favor the health and safety of the families who attend these centers.
