United States. Sun Chemical has launched two new mixing pigment preparations for the coatings market: eXpand! Yellow ST 1018 and eXpand! Black ST 9005.
According to the company, eXpand! Yellow ST 1018 combines intense chroma with reduced dispersion and high transparency, enabling the formulation of a new generation of automotive coating styles. For its part, according to the same company, the Black ST 9005 mixing solution offers exceptional brightness and a unique black tone due to the reduced dispersion.
"Automotive coating formulators are constantly looking for exciting new colors for their vehicles and we are thrilled to offer two new options," said Javier Morcillo-Ruiz, technical director and senior expert in automotive coating pigments and color materials at Sun Chemical.
"The reduced dispersion of eXpand! Black ST 9005 and the top chroma of eXpand! Yellow ST 1018 opens up new colour spaces for car styling," he added.
