International. The company launches the first commercial quantities of its high-performance caprolactone polyols in the United States.
The investment in Ingevity's DeRidder plant includes the installation of monomer storage capacity not only to support the manufacture of polyol derivatives, but also to streamline and enable bulk monomer shipments to U.S. customers.
The completion of the company's expansion at its deRidder, Louisiana, facility increases Ingevity's global capacity to produce polyols by 40% and positions the company to better meet the growing demand for Capa's portfolio and more effectively serve its customers by reducing overall lead times.

"The completion of the Capa expansion is a major achievement for our teams at DeRidder and Warrington that reinforces the capabilities of engineering polymers and our broader performance chemicals segment," added Hulme.

Ingevity's DeRidder plant includes the production of emulsifiers, rosin and tall oil fatty acids that are used in a variety of applications, such as adhesives, asphalt additives, publication inks, metallurgy fluids, drilling fluid additives, oilfield production chemicals, paints and coatings.
