The Coatings Trends & Technologies (CTT) will take place between September 7 and 9. It focuses heavily on technical innovations to provide the perfect atmosphere in order to connect scientific minds, foster innovation and cultivate new innovative ideas.
The CTT, which now shares a location with Powder Coating Summit, will be held at The Westin Chicago Lombard, at the Yorktown Center in Chicago, United States. Coating suppliers and manufacturers who are involved in liquid and powder coating technology can attend both events simultaneously.
The inaugural lecture will be given by Eric R. Byer, president and CEO of the National Association of Chemical Distributors. His talk titled "Chemicals Can't Wait: The Supply Chain Crisis and What We Can Do to Help End It" will be about the enormous pressure on the chemical distribution supply chain since the beginning of the pandemic.
"Recently, the U.S. supply chain crisis has reached new levels of dysfunction and these ongoing disruptions are having a severe impact on product availability, business outcomes, and consumer wallets," Byer's presentation notes.
"Chemical distributors are responsible for the processing, formulation, mixing, repackaging, storage, transportation and marketing of chemicals to more than 750,000 customers in almost every industry," says the announcement about the exhibition by Byer, who will explore what is needed to alleviate the current crisis and strengthen the system. where dealers should be able to reserve cargo and receive it in a timely manner at fair prices, to protect against future crises.
In his wake, Jerry Powers of Vibrantz Technologies will talk about the next generation of architectural dyes.
"Both paint companies and dye suppliers have advanced their knowledge and tools to achieve a successful formulation of their architectural products with low volatile organic compounds (VOCs)," states the summary of the exhibition.
"Reducing VOCs means increasing the use of biocides (type and quantity) to prevent deterioration of paint and dye. Thus, regulatory bodies are moving forward with standards to reduce VOC limits and biocide quantities, while restricting the types of biocides that can be used. What should paint and dye companies do? What's next for low-VOC resin-free architectural dye technology?" are some of the issues to be addressed in your presentation.
