Atotech expands its production from Querétaro

Atotech

Latin America. The new production center of the German specialty chemicals company, located in the Colón Airport Industrial Park (PIA), has the capacity to produce 33 tons per day.

The new Atotech plant had an investment of 169.4 million Mexican pesos. At the recent inauguration, the company's CEO, Geoff Wild, said that this "marks an important achievement for our company."

"The Queretaro center will allow Atotech to considerably expand its production capacity and sustainable growth in Mexico and the Americas," said Wild, adding that this also supports the expected increase in customer demand in the coming years.

In the same vein, the global financial director, Peter Frauenknecht, pointed out that the company achieves a competitive advantage that allows it to provide a better service to customers in Mexico and North America.

For his part, the director of Atotech Mexico, Ramón Bertrán, said that the location was strategically proposed for a quick and efficient attention to the demand of companies in the Bajío region.

This "will allow us to accelerate growth in Mexico, since we are located in the direct proximity of current and potential customers," he said.

Bertrán also stressed that the new facility includes a state-of-the-art laboratory with advanced technology, processes and qualified personnel to perform analysis in order to better serve customers.

"In addition, we are very pleased that our 76 employees are enjoying working at this facility, which was completed with their safety, comfort and well-being in mind," he added.

Likewise, the governor of the State of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri, stressed that Querétaro is the fourth most competitive and sustainable area in the country. "Therefore, it is a pride to receive companies like Atotech, which help us promote development and provide more employment opportunities to Queretanos," said the governor.

In Queretaro, Atotech produces products for the general finishing of metals that are used in various industries, including automotive, construction, heavy machinery and household appliances.

The German multinational produced its first batch of chemicals at the new site in May.
