Colombia. Sun Chemical will present its portfolio of eco-responsible coldset inks during the Annual Meeting and Seminar of the Technical Association of Latin American Newspapers to be held at the Dann Carlton Hotel in Medellín, from October 25 to 27.
Visitors to Sun Chemical's booth will learn more about the range of products and services it offers to its customers in Latin America, including the AD-Litho, Spectra High-Strength and Spectra Max coldset ink series. These environmentally friendly inks contain no heavy metals and are formulated with vegetable oils.
Spectra Max Color coldset inks allow newspaper printers looking for maximum color to use less ink while increasing print quality from better contrast and catch, and less brush and page-to-page adjustment time.
The color and black process inks of the AD-Litho family are especially suitable for hot climates and printing workshops that are in more difficult media. Formulated with soybean oil and for open source configurations, it offers: lower VOCs, low friction, excellent trapping and application, less water absorption and balanced and intense colors.
Spectra High-Strength premium color process inks allow printing by applying a thinner layer that achieves better control of the water adjustment in the press, resulting in a more stable and drier band, less friction, a reduction in page-to-page adjustment and point gain and an increase in performance.
