International. Evonik Jayhawk Fine Chemicals Corporation and Dixie Chemical Company, Inc. have signed a joint development agreement in support of the global epoxy market sector. Evonik and Dixie will collaborate on thermal healings that combine the best attributes of Evonik's dianhydride and Dixie's monoanhıdrido competitions. The product portfolio will be available on Dixie in early 2016.
Borys Schafran, Director of Marketing and Business Development at Evonik, commented: "We respect Dixie's expertise in epoxy formulation and applied technology. These new products not only address ease of use, which customers have been asking for, they also improve the properties of epoxy coatings, molding compounds and composite materials. This is especially important in applications where sustained mechanics, thermal and dielectric ropiedads in adverse conditions for longer periods of time is a prerequisite."
Evonik also confirmed a joint marketing program agreement with Nexam Chemical. Both companies will collaborate in the modification and improvement of the polyamide transformation, while offering improvements of physical and mechanical properties. Customers will benefit from consultation in product selection, linkage and optimal dosage to achieve the desired properties of their polyimide coatings, films, fibers, foams and resins.
Dr. Jeff Dimmit, Vice President of Technology for Evonik Jayhawk said that "our first collaboration was the webinar 'Empowering Polyimides', given by Dr. Carlos Solano, Product Manager of Nexam Química. Participation overwhelmed us. This is positive proof that the industry thirsts for knowledge about the use of our products, which has led us to enter into a market collaboration."
