Colombia. One of the emblematic buildings of Medellín, the White House, received an intervention process with the use of coatings from the manufacturer Pintuco.
The building was intervened with the putties and textures of the brand. Before the intervention the building had on its façade the cristanato, material that years ago was one of the favorites for this type of architecture. However, at present this material is difficult to renew and maintain, given its non-adhesion and little compatibility with different types of finishes. In this way, removing the cristanato was not only a titanic task due to the time invested, but it was also expensive and with a great environmental impact due to the amount of waste and dust it had generated.
With Pintuco's products, this challenge was simplified in time, resources and impact as follows:
- Putty: product that adhered to the Cristanato
- The texture: being a product resistant to the weather and the sun, it provided a plus, not only for its beautification but also for the protection and its water-repellent characteristics, protecting the structure from moisture.
- Times and costs: the cost of renovating the façade was reduced by almost 50% and with surprising results, in times that its owners never imagined.
