Mexico. SRG Global held an opening ceremony to celebrate the expansion of its plant in Irapuato, Mexico, which will support the company's continued production of high-value plastic coatings.
The expansion will add 20,000 square meters for the existing 21,000 square meter facility and houses a new chrome plating line. The line is one of the most modern of its kind for this process, where safety and sustainability have been the determining factors in its design. The new line is expected to push the total number of employees at the facility to approximately 500 people in full production.
"The state of Guanajuato has helped make it possible to maintain value creation for society as well as for local communities in and around the Irapuato facilities. We are equally excited for the opportunity to be able to better support our customers," said Dave Prater, President and CEO of SRG Global.
Company officials were accompanied by members of the state, local government officials, as well as customers and other community partners to mark the occasion.
