International. IGM Resins announced that it has acquired the Lamberti business, which estimates to increase the technical capacity in the innovation development process, with a line of technologically advanced products that cover materials that comply with both the FDA - Food and Drug Administration regulations of the United States, and the regulatory requirements in Europe.
The acquisition includes all assets, technology, intellectual property and R&D employees, as well as professionals in the commercial area who are related to the photoinitiator business, which will be operated as a division of the IGM of a new office and laboratory complex located near Milan, Italy.
"This acquisition, along with IHT's recent acquisition in China in August 2014, positions IGM at the forefront of developing the next generation of safe and easy-to-use photoinitiators for printing inks, coatings and the UV-curable products market. It also increases our production capacity and sales volume in a growing market," said Edward Frindt, CEO of IGM Resins.
