Latin America. After almost 20 years working for the company, it was announced that Claudio Labbe, president of Flint Group for Latin America, will retire from his position as of July 1, 2012.
Labbe began his career in the organization in 1994, after the company, then known as Flint Ink Latin America, acquired Rencic International. In 2000 he was appointed as Flint Ink's Vice President for Latin America, and during his tenure he began operations in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia and Chile.
In 2004, Labbe moved to the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Latin America and in February 2008 he was promoted to his current position as President.
Before the retirement of Labbe, the CEO of the company, Antoine Fady, expressed his gratitude and admiration for who he described as one of those directly responsible for the success and growth of the company.
"I want to thank Claudio for extending his commitment and support to Flint Group in what has been an extraordinary career spanning 20 years. His integrity, commitment and dedication have been invaluable in preparing the business for a new chapter of growth," he said.
"Claudio has built a strong business in Latin America and has developed a talented team that will ensure his legacy continues and develops further."
Labbe's successor will be Adhemur Pilar, who will serve as vice president and general manager for the Flint Group in Latin America, and will be in charge of continuing to develop the Brazilian and Argentine market.
