In recent months, the press has been dedicated to reporting on the evolution of the epidemic (as I write this editorial is not yet declared a pandemic) of swine flu or virus (AH1N1).
The center of all eyes is Mexico, because it was in that nation where the first cases of infected and fatalities were reported. As a result, the economy of that country has suffered a strong blow, mainly in the tourism and trade sectors, although fortunately our industry has not been so affected.
The Mexican government has taken a series of prevention and contingency measures that have been effective: infections have slowed down and carriers of the disease have received adequate treatment.
This is an invitation for all entrepreneurs to continue with their business plans and not suspend attendance at any event, because ceasing business activity is a luxury that we can not give ourselves in times of crisis, such as the current ones.
Personally, I believe that the issue is based on prevention, in the case of swine flu and many others, such as HIV, which have caused millions of deaths without a media boom. Economic recovery is everyone's business.
