Colombia. PPG, supplier of automotive coatings, has announced the arrival of PPG Moonwalk in Colombia, which becomes the second Latin American market, the first in the Andean region, to have this technology.
It is an automatic paint mixing machine that not only accelerates productivity in refinish shops, but also sets new standards for precision and quality.
According to Luis Ossa, General Manager Andean Region at PPG, "PPG MoonWalk represents an evolution in the sector, simplifying tasks and elevating the technician experience."
For Ossa, PPG MoonWalk means "a leap forward in the industry, redefining the way we approach paint mixing."
The color matching process in vehicle repainting has historically been a laborious and detailed task, requiring precision and time.
However, with this new technology PPG has designed an automated system that not only saves labor time, but also ensures unparalleled accuracy in each mixture thus achieving colors faithful to the original of each vehicle.
Since its launch in 2019, PPG MoonWalk has positively impacted the automotive refinish industry, emerging as an innovative solution that fuses precision with efficiency.
According to the company, one of the most prominent features of PPG MoonWalk is its ability to store and dispense a wide range of inks and additives.
According to the company, with 80 storage spaces for inks and 13 positions on the dispenser shelf, this automated solution ensures precision in each mixture, eliminating the risk of human error.
In addition, the standard PPG MoonWalk package includes, in addition to the mixing machine, a Touchmix Express computer with a touchscreen and PPG PaintManager XI color management software, an ultra-accurate two-digit scale and a label printer.
Added to this is the installation, training and five-year warranty of the mixing machine and the support service. "It's like having a mixing assistant that's always reliable," says Ossa.
