Importance of intumescent paints

Intumescent paints are intended to protect a structure from the high temperatures caused by a fire, and thus prevent its collapse. On this subject we spoke with the engineer Quilyam Casallas of the multinational Sika who spoke about the application of these coatings in a very important architectural project in Medellín (Colombia). This will be one of the conferences that Casallas will offer at Cubrecol 2008 to be held on September 18 and 19 in Bogotá (Colombia).
