Corrosion Research Grants
This program, funded by the U.S. Office of Naval Research and NACE International, will elect fellows at Corrosion 2010, to be held in San Antonio, Texas, March 14-18, 2010.
The purpose of this scholarship project is to help students and educators in corrosion research, because corrosion is a critical factor for any business or activity, since its estimated cost annually is US $ 276 billion dollars.
The United States has faced challenges in the field of corrosion prevention and control, where age infrastructure, environmental requirements and strict budgets require corrosion control programs designed for specific situations by qualified professionals.
This program incentivizes young researchers to solve challenges in the field of corrosion and provide a basis for extending support for additional research and interest in science, engineering, industry, and other government sources. (In the photo: award of scholarships in Corrosion 2009)
