PPG Launches New Color Palette
United States. PPG Pittsburgh Paint launched the UP North Color, a palette of 25 colors that represent the significant shades of the region's north. Created by local interior designers and paint shop owners, the range of shades captures the uniqueness and beauty of the area allowing users to enjoy their favorite landscapes in their homes.
The palette, in which "all colors have a history" according to Rita Whalevy Allied, interior designer, "includes the colors Beach Glass, soft greens, pale yellows and fresh blues named for the smoothed glass found on the shores."
For Tom Bischoff, owner of Northwood Paint and Supply and collaborator of the palette, "each of the shadows of this reflects something that is ours. In addition, the collection defines the local landscape and identifies the mood swings and unique beauties found here."
