Atlantic+ incorporates a powerful biocide package and a proven binder system. This ensures progressive and controlled automatic polishing from the moment the hull hits the water and up to 60 months later. In addition, to improve mechanical strength, the coating is reinforced with the patented Hempadur ultra-strength microfiber technology of the same brand. The science behind microfiber technology involves introducing an internal skeleton of fibers into the paint to improve its mechanical strength, in the same way that steel bars are inserted into concrete. This ensures protection against fouling in areas exposed to impact and abrasion, improves overcoatability and ultimately decreases costs for the ship's dry dock.
