This product enables significant fuel economy and protection for up to 60 months in extensive operating conditions including periods of slow steam and prolonged inactivity. The high-volume solids in the coating make it can be applied more quickly to reduce costs while the ship is in dry dock. The product has improved operational flexibility and a speed loss of 4.5%, and reduction in associated emissions. Hempel's patented nano acrylate technology provides a fine-polishing control mechanism to bring integral biocides to the surface at a stable rate to ensure a clean hull throughout the service life and also incorporates patented microfibers that provide greater mechanical strength.
