International. Corbion has been recognized for its leadership in corporate sustainability by CDP, a global environmental non-profit organization.
After evaluating data reported by Corbion through CDP's 2022 climate change, water and forests questionnaires, CDP praised the company's continued actions to reduce emissions, mitigate climate and water risks, and strengthen its forest-related policies.
Receiving an A rating earned Corbion a spot in the top 8% of companies in CDP's 2022 Supplier Share Leaderboard for its work with suppliers to mitigate climate change.
Within its sector, Corbion was also among the 21% of companies at the Climate Change Leadership (A-score) level that are implementing current best practices.
Corbion CEO Olivier Rigaud commented: "We are very pleased that CDP's assessment indicates that Corbion continues to provide leadership towards a more sustainable future, and we are proud to be recognized for engaging with our suppliers to address climate change."
"Preserving what is important to our customers, to our investors and to the world gives us focus and direction as a company and inspires us to maintain a high level of performance. We are proud of the progress we are making along our sustainability journey and look forward to what we can achieve next year," added Rigaud.
CDP's annual environmental rating and disclosure process is widely recognized as the gold standard of corporate environmental transparency.
In 2022, more than 680 investors with more than US$130 trillion in assets and more than 280 major buyers with US$6.4 trillion in acquisition expenses requested companies to disclose data on environmental impacts, risks and opportunities through CDP's platform.
Disclosure through CDP provides a basis for measuring progress towards a climate-secure, deforestation-free, water-secure future with a truly sustainable economy.
