International. BASF will inaugurate a Technical Application Center for the automotive industry, during the second half of 2023, in Marchamalo (Guadalajara), with an investment of 16 million euros.
As reported by the company in a note, the focus of investments in 2023 will be on Marchamalo, where BASF has its main paint and coating factory for the automotive industry.

The general director of BASF in Spain, Carles Navarro, has recently announced in a telematic press conference the main magnitudes of the business in Spain, affected by the shortage of raw materials, the increase in costs and the difficulties of the production chains as a result of the war in Ukraine.
Despite this "difficult" environment, Navarro stressed that the company "has resisted" in Spain, raising turnover by 16%, to 1,562 million euros, an increase that is explained by the increase in prices, of about 19% in all segments.
Looking ahead to this 2023, the group has announced that it expects to generate global sales of between 84,000 and 87,000 million euros and has advanced the investment of 16 million euros that it plans to undertake in the new Application Center for the automotive industry in Marchamalo.
