Argentina. In partnership with small and medium-sized Argentine companies, BASF began manufacturing intermediary products, such as solvents, additives, hardeners and catalysts, which are then used in the manufacture of paints for automotive surfaces, metal parts, plastics and brakes.
From the union with strategic partners such as Pinturas Estrella SRL, investing more than 60 million pesos in equipment and knowledge, BASF's Automotive Paints division seeks to improve the value proposition and continue serving automotive terminals with products of high quality standards.

In Argentina, BASF's Automotive Paints division focuses on marketing paints and surface application treatment for metal, plastic and glass substrates.
At the Tortuguitas plant, the business performs the final packaging of products using a transfer cell and the color development experts define the adjustments in a local laboratory.
In addition, there is the commercial and administrative structure of the business, the Distribution Center and other activities are carried out aimed at the Automotive Repainting and Chemicals for Personal and Home Care businesses.
Tortuguitas' laboratory team is focused on key activities such as product development, color and application, and provides support from Argentina, both to local and regional customers, as do the technical structures in automotive terminals. The company has cutting-edge robotic technology to test products for applicability.
