International. During this year's version of the European Coating Show (ECS), from 28 to 30 March in Nuremberg (Germany), Arkema will organize a leadership panel entitled "Sustainability and market transformation" at its own stand.
There they will be joined by industry leaders Perstorp, PPG, the European Chemical Distributors Association and OMYA, with their most talented experts in the field of sustainability.
Arkema is bringing together leaders from across the value chain to discuss and collaborate on the most innovative solutions needed to meet consumer expectations for a more sustainable lifestyle and address tomorrow's challenges, such as climate change, resource scarcity, urbanization and technological transformation.
Starting with brand owners' vision and commitments to evolving consumer and industry expectations, Arkema's coatings experts and their Bostik adhesive solutions, along with their guest speakers, will discuss new ways and specific examples to meet these trends through a more connected value chain ecosystem.
The Group will leverage its pioneering offering of specialty resins and additives, and its expertise in lower-volatility organic compound technologies, to create solution-oriented responses that address sustainability, high performance and anticipation of regulatory evolutions.
"To make real change, we have to adapt the way we work. Together with leading companies along the value chain, we are focusing on connecting market and end-consumer expectations with initial innovation capabilities, working together to improve all aspects of industry sustainability," said Richard Jenkins, senior vice president, Arkema Coating Solutions.
For the 2023 ECS edition, Arkema will showcase its new sustainable offerings for the industry, providing answers to emerging markets such as home efficiency, more circular housing, community well-being, decarbonization of the built environment and more.
Key innovations highlighted will include:
Cold surfaces painted white, which allows to reduce the consumption of air conditioning.
Development of UV coil coating technology.
New low-temperature curing powder coating resins for industrial medium density fiberboard (MDF) applications.
Extension of resins and special additives of biological base and biomass balance that allow more circular housing applications.
New UV/LED and water-based curable solutions to develop safer inks and coatings for packaging.
Arkema will also offer two lectures and a series of presentations related to these latest innovations.
