International. The supplier of protective coatings specialized in the aerospace sector has since this month a new brand to reflect the future direction and capacity of the business.
As of January 1, Hycrome Aerospace officially became HycAero.
This process is seen as an exciting new chapter for Burnley's business, its employees, customers, partners and suppliers.
Managing Director, Andrew Bailey, who started as an apprentice at Hycrome, explained the reasons behind the move: "For many years, Hycrome has been recognized as a key supplier of protective coatings, precision machining and other special processes for the aerospace and oil and gas industry, industries under the Hycrome Europe and Hycrome Aerospace banners."
"As the name 'Hycrome' suggests, our company has a long legacy of specialization in chrome plating and chromic acid anodizing, two processes we will discontinue by the end of 2023 in favor of greener protective coatings," continued Bailey.
"We recognize that, for some time now, the company name has not truly represented the scope or direction of our organization, particularly within the aerospace sector, so we have decided that Hycrome Aerospace will evolve to become HycAero," Bailey said.
Andrew said HycAero is just a name change and that the new brand will slowly begin to evolve within the business in the coming months.
