Latin America. The official Mexican standard, which concerns the country's paint and ink manufacturers, will enter into force on May 29, 2023.
On December 1, the Official Mexican Standard NOM-007-SCT-2-2022 entitled "Provisions relating to the construction, UN marking and testing of packaging, intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) and large packaging/containers for the transport of dangerous goods" was published.
The objective of this regulation is to establish the characteristics and specifications that must be met in the identification of containers and packaging intended for the transport of hazardous substances, materials and waste that transit on the general roads of federal jurisdiction.
It will enter into force on 29 May 2023.
