Latin America. Between September 14 and 17, more than 500 brands from 11 countries were found in Sao Paulo.
The event organized by the Brazilian Association of Surface Finishes (ABTS) was attended by more than 40,000 visitors who toured the more than 30,000 square feet of exhibition of the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
The event, held every two years since 1979, served to promote new technologies implemented by the industry that can reduce costs and make processes less aggressive with the environment.
The keynote lecture by Douglas Bosel of MKS Atotech revolved around how sustainable paint pretreatment can increase profitability and reduce the CO2 footprint.
Subsequently, Ricardo Cavalcanti de Fisher spoke about why to analyze galvanic baths and their contaminants with X-rays and not with other techniques.
Since its foundation in 1968, the ABTS has played a prominent and fundamental role in the development and strengthening of the Surface Treatments sector in Brazil, adding professionals and increasing the exchange of information nationally and internationally.
