The PowderTAG thickness analysis gauge was redesigned and now features a faster measurement speed. This device uses ultraviolet techniques to measure the thickness of powder coatings in the pre-cured and cured state, in a precise, reproducible and non-destructive way.
To take a measurement you only need to select the place and click, the result is presented and stored between 64-1,024 milliseconds, even when measuring on small, curved or hard-to-reach objects, including in wire frames or small corners and edges, because the area needed to make the measurement is now smaller and the pulse for the measurement does not necessarily have to be perpendicular. An LED pointer helps determine the correct distance and location.
Due to this non-contact measuring principle, parts can be tested on a slow-moving line without damaging the coating. For higher line speeds, it is recommended to remove the line part via a bypass or stop the line.
