The new acrylonitrile-butadiene (CTBN) carboxyl-finished epoxy adduct hardening agent HyPox RA875 for automotive adhesives allows greater resistance to detachment at room temperature and temperatures up to -40°C and greater adhesion to oily substrates.
In automotive applications, there are often limitations that make it impossible to clean a substrate, affecting the performance of many adhesives. When formulated with HyPox RA875, automotive structural adhesives demonstrate improved adhesion to oily substrates, reducing rejections due to adhesive failures, thus improving production.
This product maintains excellent high cross-linking density properties, such as high modulus and fault resistance, excellent adhesive strength and low deformation, while reducing the fragility of the epoxy, providing greater detachment resistance when used in galvanized steel, aluminum and hot-dip galvanized steel.
