Latin America. Axalta celebrated having reached the figure of 20,000 master painters in the automotive industry, to be trained through the "Axalta en Tour" program that offers specialized training free of charge to workshops in Mexico and other Latin American countries.
Since 2016, Axalta experts have traveled to every corner of Mexico, Colombia and Argentina to train painters directly in their refinish workshops and provide them with tools to maximize product use, reduce time and increase productivity.
"At Axalta, we put our customers first," said Daniel Salcido, President of Axalta Mexico and Vice President of Axalta Refinish Latin America. "We are very proud to have covered more ground in recent years, helping to empower repainting workshop customers and keep them up to date with the latest techniques, products and technologies." Axalta en Tour" gives us the opportunity to be close to customers, listen to their needs and offer them support so they can grow their business. Their success is our success, and we are very fortunate to have the opportunity to be in store with our customers on an ongoing basis."
The program has provided customized training, based on the needs and requirements of customers in each market, and expanding their knowledge of the most advanced repair techniques. Through these courses, master painters learn about material preparation, how to avoid defects in painting, mixing work, color matching, and business management for workshops, among other topics. The agenda includes product demonstrations and training on applications from Axalta's leading refinish brands, such as Spies Hecker and Cromax.
"We are proud to close another year of the "Axalta en Tour" program with an extraordinary participation. The high demand and continued interest in this program motivates us to keep improving every year to help our clients get the best results at the lowest possible cost. We are proud of the success of this program and the benefits our customers get as a result," said Karla Tortolero, Strategic Planning and Marketing Manager at Axalta Latin America.
