Expancel microspheres are designed as an additive for elastomeric coatings for cold roofs, which improve the reflection of sunlight, especially in the near-infrared region, even in pigmented coatings.
Expancel spheres have a small particle size, giving it an advantage when it comes to reflecting sunlight compared to other types of spheres, such as glass, ceramic or CaCO3, and help reduce electrical energy consumption by more than 40%.
In addition, the microspheres are elastic and resistant, and maintain the flexibility of the coating, as well as important protective functions.
The use of this additive will reduce the need for binder thanks to a lower absorption of total oil, further reducing costs without affecting the reflective properties, added to a light weight, up to 34% lower than other similar products, will result in lower transport costs.
