Colombia. The Colombian Association of Corrosion Engineers (Acicor) and NACE Colombia Section, together with the Universidad del Norte, present the NACE CIP 1 course, which offers knowledge to perform coating inspections using non-destructive techniques and instruments.
The course will take place in the city of Barranquilla, from June 17 to 21, at the headquarters of the Universidad del Norte.
This course covers the technical and practical fundamentals of coating inspection work, as well as for the application of coating materials, along with techniques for surface preparation. Classroom instruction consists of lectures, discussions, group exercises, and hands-on lab practices.
It is designed specifically for apprentices, but is open to anyone who wants to know more about the process, such as project managers and engineers, quality assurance and control managers, contractors and specification writers, coating manufacturers and technical sales representatives, paint manufacturers, paint applicators and blasters, and maintenance personnel.
