I have always thought that writing about paints and coatings has given me the opportunity to learn and learn about an industry that, outside of our industrial field, few know and also little interest in knowing. How much do you know about paintings? How are they made? Is there money in that industry? These are questions often asked to me by my friends or acquaintances who have nothing to do with the guild.
That's when I analyze: what could we do so that our knowledge is also more shared and reaches that ordinary human being who barely knows how to buy a jar of paint? Although it is valid to understand that we are a specialized industry and that we reach a very select group, it is also important to keep in mind that after all the vast majority of the products that are marketed within our sector have as their last destination the end user. Yes, the same one who knows little or nothing about the guild.
That is why the importance of the use of new world technologies, which are increasingly broad and allow us to approach whoever we want. That is why I think that our sector has a range of possibilities to get its message to many more people through these new information channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin or Youtube. Generating content in these spaces is essential today and I see many brands still very passive in this aspect.
I believe that achieving greater visibility will always be a big step. Connecting with the user, being able to solve their doubts and interact, will allow the company to expand its range of commercial possibilities of the present and sow those of the future.
Now I ask: how else can we improve the visibility of our companies? I look forward to your comments.
