Colombia. With a great attendance, the eighth version of Cubrecol Americas began, which in this edition of 2011 has as its main novelty the inclusion of topics for formulators, applicators, inspectors and auditors.
Julián López, from Andercol, kicked off the Formulation Hall with his conference Nuevos Coalescentes, in which he showed two Case Studies that made reference to green formulations. While in Salón de Aplicación, Juan Manuel Álvarez, from Nace, Colombia, gave the conference Properties of application in the field.
Juan Manuel stressed the importance of good communications and integrity, as they are essential to execute work that is beneficial to the contractual parties in a coatings project.
In the Corrosion Room, the topic Evaluation of organic coatings opened this panel with the presence of lecturer Jorge Andrés Calderón from the University of Antioquia.
The commercial exhibition, where the most important companies in the sector related to the production of paints, supplies and marketing of equipment meet, was also launched with the presence of hundreds of attendees.
With this start, Cubrecol Americas 2011 promises to be confirmed, this September 29 and 30, as the space where professionals from the paints and coatings industry meet to share concepts, clarify concerns and generate new business that allows a growing industry in progress much more.
