USA Paint and coatings maker Sherwin Williams reported that net sales during the first three months of 2009 totaled $1.55 billion, a drop of about 13 percent from the same period in 2008. Net profit fell 52% as a result of falling market demand.
The company's profits totaled USS$37.3 million compared to US$77.9 million in the same period last year. However, the company reported that although it maintains its revenue projection, it expects a profit higher than expectations in the second half.
