As reported by the newspaper Noticias, the restart of operations occurred after the Chemical Products Committee of the Mexican Petroleum Company, Pemex, authorized a new price formula for ethylene oxide, one of the company's main products.
The ethylene glycol plant produces and exports different petrochemicals used in the manufacture of resins and polyester fibers, especially ethylene for the manufacture of tar resin, the basis for the formulation of some automotive and architectural paints.
