Shipping inspection courses

USA NACE International announced its new training course for the inspection of protective layers in shipping companies, called the NACE Coating Inspector Program (CIP) Level 2, with a maritime emphasis.

The course was created in response to the International Maritime Organization's (IMO) Performance Standard for Protective Coatings (PSPC), and is the only program for protective layer inspectors specified by the IMO with an emphasis on the inspection of protective layers in marine shipping companies.

The Level 2 CIP is a 6-day training course that features practical and theoretical training, and focuses on the requirements related to the hull, ballast tank, and protective layers of seagoing shipowners, as well as on inspection instrumentation specific to the maritime industry.
